Questa notte a Los
Angeles si sono svolti i VES Awards 2014, i premi che assegna
l’industria degli effetti visivi in piena season awards e in vista
degli Oscar, che si fanno sempre più vicini.
In un’annata in cui quello che sembra essere il migliore film dell’anno è uno sci fi (Gravity), non ci stupiamo se a trionfare in questa categoria così specifica sia proprio lui, il film di Alfonso Cuaron dalla produzione difficile ma dalla vita, a quanto pare, lunga e prospera. Oltre ai premi al film, il regista si è anche portato a casa il Visionary Award.
Accanto a Gravity, che ha vinto in tutte le categorie tranne che in quello per il miglior personaggio animato (premio andato a Lo Hobbit con Smaug), è stato Frozen della Disney a vincere nelle quattro categorie riservate ai film d’animazione.
Nelle categorie per la tv hanno invece vinto Game of Thrones e Banshee.
