Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, di Martin McDonagh, ha vinto al Festival di Toronto 2017 l’ambito premio del pubblico. Per il film, che McDonagh ha anche diretto, si tratta del secondo riconoscimento importante, dato che, presentato a Venezia 74, ha anche trionfato per il premio alla sceneggiatura.
Il film uscirà in Italia con il titolo di Tre Manifesti a Ebbing, Missouri e il premio di Toronto è particolarmente importante in vista della stagione dei premi, dato che spesso, la scelta del pubblico del festival canadese coincide con quelle dell’Academy.
Lo confermano pellicole come 12 Anni Schiavo, Il Discorso del Re, The Millionaire e, ovviamente, La la Land.
