Un po’ a sorpresa, i WGA 2017 hanno premiato Moonlight e Arrival per le migliori sceneggiature cinematografiche dell’anno. In realtà non sorprende il premio ad Arrival per il miglior script adattato, ma Moonlight è riuscito a vincere contro lo stra-favorito La La Land, per la migliore sceneggiatura originale, il che dà al film di Barry Jenkins qualche chance in più in categoria agli Oscar 2017.
