Nel cast della quarta stagione di ritorna tutto il cast che comprende Peter Dinklage, Lena Headey, Emilia Clarke, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Kit Harington, Natalie Dormer, Maisie Williams e Sophie Turner. Le new entry sono Struan Rodger (Il corvo con tre occhi) Joel Fry (Hizdahr zo Loraq) Michiel Huisman (Daario Naharis) Roger Ashton-Griffiths (Mace Tyrell), Pedro Pascal (Oberyn Martell), Indira Varma (Ellaria Sand) e Mark Gatiss. Inoltre la band islandese Sigur Rós comparirà con un cameo.
