Si è concluso il Toronto Film Festival, e a trionfare è stato La La Land di Damien Chapelle che ha vinto il premio del pubblico. La pellicola, interpretata da Emma Stone e Ryan Gosling, era stata presentata in anteprima mondiale alla Mostra del Cinema di Venezia. Acclamatissimi anche film come Moonlight, American Pastoral, The Birth of a Nation, Arrival, Lion e Queen of Katwe, che sicuramente ritroveremo nel corso della stagione.
