Nonostante la dura battaglia, la Disney ha sconfitto la Laika e Zootropolis si è aggiudicato l’Annie Awards 2017 battendo il concorrente diretto, Kubo e la Spada Magica. I riconoscimenti al cinema d’animazione hanno spalancato le porte dell’Academy al bel film Disney che non ha davvero più rivali.
Per quanto riguarda il cinema indipendente, invece, La Tartaruga Rossa, visto alla Festa di Roma 2016, ha vinto il suo premio di categoria.
