Ottobre nelle sale il nuovo film di fantascienza
Ender’s Game, con
protagonisti Harrison Ford, Ben
Kingsley e Asa
Butterfield. Il film segna il ritorno del
compositore Steve Jablonsky in un genere che
gli si addice molto. Infatti, chi conosce e apprezza il lavoro di
Jablonsky, non può non ricordare le sue note indimenticabili in
film come Transformers e The
Island. La sua musica è spesso molto centrale nei
film che fa, tanto da diventare in qualche occasione, più nota del
film stesso. Un esempio si tutti è la partitura di The
Island, pellicola che non è stato un successo
commerciale, al contrario delle sue note invece che sono ormai
utilizzate ovunque, nei trailer, negli spot e persino nei programmi

La
pellicola è basata sui primi due capitoli de il ciclo di Ender
(in Italia conosciuti come ”il gioco di Ender” e “L’ombra di
Ender”), serie di libri di fantascienza per ragazzi scritti
dall’americano Orson Scott Card.
La trama: Ender Wiggin (Asa Butterfield) è un giovane ragazzo che possiede un talento particolare che se affinato potrebbe salvare l’intero pianeta, che nel frattempo si sta preparando ad una nuova invasione da parte di una bellicosa razza di alieni nota come “Scorpioni”. Anche stavolta a capeggiare la Flotta Internazionalecontro gli Scorpioni ci sarà l’eroico comandante Mazer Rackham (Ben Kingsley). Ender viene così reclutato dal Colonnello Graff (Harrison Ford) che è fermamente convinto che lui possa diventare il prossimo Mazer e addestrato nella Scuola di Guerra, dove metterà in luce la sua incredibile potenzialità imparando ad usare tattiche belliche e sviluppando doti di leader.
