Maestro e Saltburn hanno portato a casa i premi principali ai premi Make-Up Artists and Hair Stylist Guild (IATSE Local 706). La gilda ha tenuto la sua undicesima cerimonia di premiazione annuale domenica sera al Beverly Hilton Hotel.
La serata si è aperta con la consegna dei premi d’onore. L’attrice nominata all’Oscar Annette Bening è stata insignita del premio Distinguished Artisan. Tuttavia, a causa del COVID, Diana Nyad ha accettato il premio a suo nome.
Michael Westmore ha ricevuto il Vanguard Award per il suo lavoro in “Rocky”, “Star Trek”, “Mask” e “Raging Bull”. Kevin Haney ha ricevuto il premio alla carriera per il suo lavoro in “A spasso con Daisy”, “Guardiani della Galassia Vol. 3” e “Hocus Pocus 2”.
Sembra interessante notare che, sebbene non sia riuscito a entrare in nessuna cinquina per gli Oscar 2024, Saltburn di Emerald Fennell ha conquistato la gilda. Ecco di seguito i vincitori:
