Le musiche originali del film sono state affidate al musicista e compositore olandese Tom Holkenborg meglio conosciuto con lo pseudonimo Junkie XL o l’acronimo JXL. 300 L’Alba di un Impero racconterà la storia del generale greco Temistocle che guiderà gli ateniesi contro gli invasori persiani, in una battaglia avvenuta simultaneamente a quella delle Termopili, vista nel primo film. Dietro la macchina da presa, ancora una volta, Zack Snyder.
In 300 L’Alba di un Impero ritroveremo Rodrigo Santoro nei panni di Serse con le new entry Jack O’Connel (Callisto), Eva Green (Artemisia) e Sullivan Stapleton (Temistocle). Nel film recitano anche Lena Headey, Hans Matheson, Igal Naor e Callan Mulvey. Si basa su una sceneggiatura scritta da Zack Snyder e Kurt Johnstad e uscirà il il Marzo 2014 negli USA.
